The Mum Who Inspired Us All

If there’s one thing we know, it’s that there is no shortage of inspiring moms (or mums!) out there—and your nominations for our first-ever Bubs’ Mums Supporting Mums campaign proves it. After narrowing down the finalists to five deserving mums, we asked you to vote for one mum to receive the grand prize, a luxurious spa day plus a formula donation to moms in need in her very own community.

The winner: mother of three and nurse practitioner Jessica Wolfring of New York.

Unbeknownst to her, Jessica was nominated by her sister, Alexandra, who had this to say about her:

Jessica is an extraordinary mom of three beautiful girls and a dedicated nurse practitioner who puts her family and patients at the heart of everything she does. Despite the immense demands of raising three little ones, Jessica’s compassion and kindness never falter. Since we lost our mom a few years ago, Jessica has been a pillar of strength, embodying the warmth and love our mother instilled in us. She truly deserves the best, and winning Bubs’ formula contest would mean the world to her. I know our mom would be so proud of the selfless, devoted person Jessica is every single day.

When Jessica found out that Alexandra had nominated her—and that she won!—she was both surprised and touched. “It’s truly an unexpected and special recognition,” she says. “I feel incredibly grateful to have such thoughtful people in my life.”

She and Alexandra, who are just 13 months apart, grew up inseparable. “We’ve always valued our sisterhood, but nothing tested our strength and bond more than the passing of our mother five years ago,” Jessica says. “We now live right behind each other and share a backyard. We’ve always talked about raising kids together, and we feel so blessed to experience this chapter of our lives so close. Life can be challenging at times, but having her to confide in and knowing she’s always there for me is an incredible blessing I’ll never take for granted.”

As a working mom of 4-month-old twins and an almost 2-year-old, Jessica and her husband rely not just on each other, but on local family and friends for support. “Having three children under two years old, we often live our days minute to minute, some days are easier, while others are harder,” she says. “I am beyond grateful to have the perfect teammate in my husband to walk through this crazy, beautiful life with. And together we are extremely thankful to have a big support system. Our family and friends are incredibly supportive and help so much with our girls, which truly makes a difference in our busy lives. Having them nearby brings so much joy, love, and comfort to our daily lives.”

When she’s not home with her husband and their three girls, Jessica works in a primary care pediatric office, where she treats and cares for other people’s children, who range in age from newborn to 22 years old. “It’s a fast-paced environment, but I love the variety,” she says. “I’ve always felt an intuitive desire to help others. My job is so rewarding, and I enjoy building long-term relationships with the families who come into my office, problem-solving to provide the best care for my patients, and making a meaningful impact in their lives.”

Busy as she is, Jessica has figured out the secret to finding balance in her life. “When I’m at home, I make it a point to be present with my family,” she says. “Taking time for myself is also crucial—it helps me recharge so I can show up fully for both my family and my career. For me, this might look like exercising, meditating, or taking a quiet walk. These activities allow me to clear my mind and reset, so I’m better able to focus on both my work and my loved ones.”

Jessica’s journey to motherhood had more bumps in the road than she’d hoped—but it taught her some lessons she treasures to this day. “We struggled with infertility for two years, seeing multiple doctors and undergoing several procedures, along with experiencing a loss. There were many moments when I felt hopeless and helpless, questioning if I was ever meant to become a mother,” she says.

“But throughout that journey, I learned not to sweat the small things and to have faith and trust that everything will work out,” she says. That life lesson has served her well in parenthood.

“I feel that if your child is safe, loved, and happy, that’s all you can ask for in life,” she says. “And just when you think you have things figured out, a curveball is thrown your way. How you handle those curveballs, and the resilience you show, is where the biggest success as a mother truly lies.”

Jessica is looking forward to her luxurious spa day as the Mums Supporting Mums winner. “With such a full plate, I don’t often get the chance to pamper myself, so I’m really looking forward to it,” she says. And she’s also thrilled to know that mums and babies in need in her area will receive formula donated by Bubs.

“As a mother, I understand the challenges that come with caring for little ones,” she says. “Knowing there are resources like this to help families who need formula is a reminder of the power of community and how we can all make a difference in one another’s lives.”
