Why would I use Goat Milk Infant Formula?

Goat milk infant formula is proven to be a safe and suitable alternative to cow and soy formulas and is growing in popularity around the world. In fact, goat milk as an adult dairy milk, is consumed by more people around the world than cow milk, due to its accessibility and traditional use as an easier to digest source of dairy protein.

Bubs Goat Milk formula contains all the same essential nutrients as cow milk formulas and meets all stringent nutritional guidelines set out in Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ). The standards clearly define the nutritional content limits and our products deliver the optimum amount of carbohydrate, protein content, etc. according to these standards. The key ingredients in our formula are goat milk solids (>40% goat whole milk and goat whey), vegetable oil blend and essential fatty acids. We also add 16 vitamins and minerals, and advanced supplements: DHA Omega-3, ARA Omega-6, and prebiotic GOS for optimum nutrition, growth and development.

Goat milk formula has several key features that have greater similarity to breast milk compared to cow milk formula. For example, goat milk has a higher content of medium chain fatty acids (MCFA) than cow milk.

The main attraction to a goat formula is its natural digestibility and lower levels of lactose. Unlike cow milk, goat milk does not contain agglutinin. As a result, the fat globules in goat milk do not cluster together, making them easier to digest. Goat milk also contains more essential fatty acids which make it easier for intestinal enzymes to digest. Goat milk contains only trace amounts of an allergenic casein protein, alpha-S1, that is found in cow milk. It is thought that this is why goat milk is better tolerated than cow milk by some babies.

Goat milk typically forms smaller fat globules and softer curd than cow milk protein, so it naturally supports gentle digestion. Parents often comment that after switching their baby from cow formula to Bubs goat formula, the number and consistency of bowel movements improve and closely resemble those when they were fed breast milk. Parents who have babies that regularly regurgitate cow milk formula have told us their baby can tolerate goat milk and settle easily.
